| Karmic Lifesciences announces strategic partnership with Strategic Capital Investments LLC |

New York, Aug 12, 2008: Karmic Lifesciences Inc. (Karmic) and Strategic Capital Investments LLC. (SCI) have
announced a strategic alliance for providing end-to-end service offerings in the clinical research and
development space targeted at global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies on a worldwide
basis.
Under the agreement, Karmic will act as a strategic operating partner for SCI and provide end-to-end delivery
encompassing Regulatory Consulting, Clinical Trial Management, Clinical Data Management, Bio-statistics, Medical
Writing and Pharmacovigilance services from its delivery base in Mumbai. SCI will in turn, through its network
of partners and contacts in the US pharmaceutical industry generate new business opportunities for Karmic. SCI
will also support Karmic in terms of identifying potential investors and garnering growth capital to fuel
Karmic’s growth plans.
This partnership will benefit both parties by leveraging Karmic’s India presence and clinical capabilities and
SCI’s access to strategic clients and investors and thereby help build a sustainable business and revenue
model.
