This announcement comes in line with another high profile appointment at Karmic India and the closure of a second round of an undisclosed investment by Basil Partners into the company.

Dr. MV Nagendran has a distinguished track record and is a Physician Cardiologist with 18 years of experience in Internal Medicine and 7 years of global experience in the Clinical Research Industry including a stint in the US. Dr. Nagendran is an MD & Gold Medalist in Internal Medicine from KMC Manipal and has earned his certification in Medical Statistics from the UK. He has 10+ international presentations in South East Asia and USA to his credit and 7 International Journal publications till date. Dr. Nagendran has managed several Pre-Clinical & Clinical projects in a wide spectrum of therapeutic areas including Cardiology, Neurology and Endocrinology and contributed across a variety of domains including trial design, protocol development, trial execution, site monitoring and data analysis. He has also served as Secretary of Ethics Committees and was earlier the Chief Operating Officer at ETI Klinical, a Bangalore based CRO.

Dr. Nagendran will be responsible for heading the Global Medical Affairs division and driving successful forays into the US, Europe, Australian and Israel markets. Given his sizeable US experience, he will also play a pivotal role in adoption of and compliance to US-FDA and ICH-GCP best practices.
