April 15, 2010, Mumbai: Karmic Lifesciences, a leading Mumbai based Contract Research Organization announced the opening of its third office in India’s IT/ITES capital, Bengaluru. The new office in Bangalore comes in parallel with the second round of undisclosed funding received by Karmic from Basil Partners. Sources say, Karmic will further enhance its Indian operations arm with offices in Pune and Hyderabad besides its existing offices in Mumbai and Delhi.

Karmic said that the new facilities in India will help the CRO meet sponsor demands for Phase II-IV clinical development services in the Pan Asian region. The focus of the new setup in Bangalore will be to leverage the enormous potential of the city in terms of availability of skilled technical manpower including qualified doctors and patient care staff, best-in-class hospital and site infrastructure and a large population of treatment naïve patients across multiple therapeutic areas.
